SEN Sessions – Little Vipers

Classes are adapted to suit SEN requirements. The classes are max 12 children to ensure a good level of supervision.

• Suitable age 5-12
• One coach for every 4 children
• Parents can watch or drop off
• 45 minutes
• Special syllabus to ensure belt promotions are not stressful or cause Anxiety
• Fully safety matted area
• Full time academy

The classes will involve some sort of competitiveness to introduce and reinforce the winning and loosing concept, and how to manage it.

There is no sparring at a younger age, but a game playing tig with your feet using body protectors for safety.

A pathway, if in time and they are ready, they could join in our other classes.

Older children have the option to compete in Kyorugi (sparring) or Poomsae (patterns)

We have a uniform, but if children do not feel comfortable wearing it, they don’t have to, they can wear a club T-shirt etc.

A typical class involves traditional warm ups that are sport specific. Then some gentle stretching of the body. Kicking and punching drills. Balance and Coordination exercises. Team Games. Individual challenges. Board Breaking. Confidence Building. Working in small groups. Working as a big group. 

We also do “foam weapons”, where they can be Mini Ninja’s, Nunchucks and Sport Sword. Weapons are used for hitting targets, not each other.

PLEASE NOTE: We require a discovery phone call before any child attends a SEN class, this is to ensure the best possible experience when they attend.
